key research areas of the Faculty

The interdisciplinary key areas of research in the Faculty of History and Cultural Studies overlap with many of the research interests of the staff at the Department of European Ethnology - from "Women's and Gender History", "Visual Cultural History - Cultures and Media of the Visual" to "History of Science - Knowledge Cultures - Knowledge Societies". By participating in these working contexts, the function of the vice-speaker connects the department particularly closely to the key area “Economy and society”.
