Aneta Podkalicka teaches and researches in the School of Media, Film and Journalism, at the Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Her key research interests include: (i) digital media and digital technologies in everyday life, across domestic and workplace settings; (ii) consumer cultures, especially (mediated) shopping practices, and thrifty and sustainable consumption; and (iii) environmental communication. These research areas inform Aneta’s teaching and also collaborations beyond academia. Aneta will be visiting the Department of European Ethnology at the University of Vienna in May 2024.
